# Configuring the Component

> Customize the Nmbr Component for your whole account from the Nmbr Portal.

Component settings customize the Nmbr Component for every company under your account.

Unlike the settings you pass when initializing the Component (see [Customization](/components/customization)), these are enforced by the Nmbr API. They hold even if a user calls the API directly with the Component's credentials.

To change them, log into the Nmbr Portal and open 'Component' under 'Configure' in the sidebar.

## Available Settings

| Disable SIN and bank account reveal in the component | Off     | The Component can't reveal an employee's or contractor's SIN, or a bank account number. The API rejects these reveal requests from the Component with a `403`. Requests made with your own access token are not affected. |
